How To Use

Basic use:

Place Raks about 10"-16" apart on the floor of your boat or whatever flat surface you want. Make sure that the end of each rak that doesn't have a hole at the top of the slots and just a bungee starp are on the same side facing each other.

On the 6 pack rak the middle slot is wider then the other slots. Make sure to align each rak so the wider middle slots are lined up facing each other.

Place each board into its individual slot starting with the end slot that doesn't have a hole at the top(it just has a bungee). As you place each board in its slot take the bungee strap over the top of the board and hook it into the large hole on the top of the slot on the other side. Then pull the opposite end of the bungee tight and adjust the sliding button fastener up to the plastic to keep tension tight. Repeat process on each board.

As you place your different boards in each slot adjust them or rotate them so fins or the rocker of boards don't touch the boards next to it. The first time you do this it may require trying a few different ways to have the right board in the right slots so they all fit without touching.

If storing for long periods of time where they aren't moving adjust the strap so there is gentle to no pressure on the boards.

Traveling down the road

Traveling down the road

Surf Raks is designed to be use under a full boat cover when hauling down the road. The boat cover needs to be designed for hauling at high speeds. When hauling make sure to adjust the straps so that they are snug on each side of each board. This minimizes the boards from moving around while traveling.

Hauling without a cover

Hauling without a cover

Surf Raks is designed to be used with a full travel boat cover to prevent anything from flying out in case of an accident. So if you use it without a full cover you do so at your own risk.

With that said you have to have a windscreen or AirDamn in place with the windshield closed when traveling. This is a must to stop direct wind from blowing into the raks and boards. It is also critical you have a min of 4 boards in the raks and the straps on each board are tight. We have hauled alot with it this way without any issue but, we haven't tested this with every boat and every different wind condition. This is why we have the disclaimer.
